Is my money safe with Vela?

Your balance is held with our partner bank and protected by the FSCS up to £85,000. Vela never lends your money out.
Do I need to be a limited company?

No. Sole traders can open an account with a passport and a UTR. Limited companies need their Companies House number too.
How does Vela work out my tax rate?

We use your income so far this tax year, your expenses and the current HMRC bands. You can override the rate any time.
Can my accountant get access?

Yes. Invite them as a read-only member on any plan. On Studio, transactions sync straight into Xero or FreeAgent.
